This week, or rather the last few weeks, I've been focusing on collections. For those of you who have been following along, it is the logical consequence of my desire to succeed in the Fluffy challenge (Animal Crossing). Well believe me or not, but it's not easy to collect everything! First of all, because there are 13 series in the base game... But, you can also add one with the At Work add-on, and another one with Outdoor Retreat. Let's take a look at it all.
Frog collection
Let's start with the frogs. Frogs can be found by looking in the tree trunks that are on the ground. But you can also look for frogs in the pond in the forest clearing (one of the hidden places). And finally, you can, if you have two in the inventory, breed them. The goal is to have 25 different species, all of which can be found in the base game.

Collection of seeds and plants
Concerning the plants, it is a little more complex! For the most common ones, it is enough to harvest the products of wild plants and to replant them. But some don't grow and you have to take cuttings and then cuttings to get them. With your notebook, you will be able to note some discoveries, and in the possible discoveries when you have the inspiration, we find plants to graft like the cow plant berry! There are 32 kinds of plants in the basic game. But if you download Outdoor RetreatYou will have 10 more to discover. Be aware that these 10 plants, found while camping, are not immediately identifiable. You'll have to work on your herbal skills, among other things by eating dodgy fruit (yes, it can affect you), to identify them all. Finally, 3 plants grow exclusively on the planet SixamYou can visit it in Au travail.

mySims Trophy Collection
There are also about 20 MySims trophies. Inspired by the game of the same name, these trophies are hidden in capsules. And the capsules are found by digging in the seams (fossil, metal or crystal).
Collections of metals and crystals
Speaking of veins, there are 20 metals and 20 crystals to be found by digging. You should know that when you analyze them with the chemical analyzer, you may discover another one. You can also ask your fellow scientists if you have the At Work extension. And finally, you can find 2 metals and 2 crystals exclusive to the planet Sixam which we will talk about later.

Fossil collection
There are also veins with fossils. They are a bit rarer. But it is the only way to my knowledge to obtain a piece of limestone. From this piece, we extract the fossil. There are 15 of them to find.
Treasure maps
Sometimes, while digging in the seams, you will find treasure maps. Once you have the map in your pocket, you can dig for treasure and find a rarer than average collectible.
Collection of elements
The elements are obtained by sending your metals or crystals to the geology council. In exchange, the council will send you a small resin cube containing the famous element that you can store in the dedicated rack: the element rack. Unfortunately, this famous rack will not be able to hold the bonus element obtained in Get to Work (probably by decomposing the planet's metals and crystals Sixam which we will discuss later).
Collection of postcards
You can also collect postcards. These cards come from the cities of the sims 3. For example, you have a card from Littlehaven and one from Lucky Palms... To get them, you have to click on a computer, chat, find a pen pal. Soon after, you have to go to the PC to check the answers to the pen pal request. Once you get a positive answer, you have to write a letter to your correspondent. And once your letter is sent, you can finally ask for a postcard from the city. The card will arrive in the mail, and you can post it on the dedicated board (the Many Penfriends postcard board).
Collections of microscope images
Concerning the 12 microscope images, you get them by using... the microscope! But first you have to click on a plant or a fossil and prepare a sample for the microscope. Only then you can analyze a sample with the famous microscope. If you succeed, you will get a frame with an image. These images are not easy to obtain! In spite of a lot of analysis, I almost always get the same 2... And I discovered only 4!
Space image collections
If you prefer to observe the sky with the observatory, no worries, you can also get nice frames. But these will be part of the 15 space images to be discovered (if you don't waste your time cracking the observatory of course!)
Alien collections
Let's keep our heads in the clouds, and continue with the quest for the aliens. There are 10 of them to find. And they can be found by collecting them in craters that glow strangely (a green ET glow what...). These craters are mainly in desert places.
Space stone collections
Always with your mind elsewhere, you have to search through the galaxy for 4 space stones. You will get them by building a rocket and traveling with it. I have the rocket, but I haven't got any stones yet. So I'll be vague on the subject...
Fish collections
Let's come back to earth with fishing. There are officially 22 fish. But in reality, if you look in the guide hidden in the inventory, you'll see 24 (one of which looks like a fish skeleton). If you want them all, you have to fish everywhere: in all the cities, in the secret places... And at the campsite, because the extension Outdoor Retreat comprend 5 poissons en plus.
Easter egg collection
Finally, EA GAMES offered us the opportunity to go on an egg hunt last year at Easter. There were 10 decorative eggs to find. Without cheating, it is no longer possible to get them today. Let's hope they come back on March 27th!
Insect collection
That's it for the basic game... But if you have the Destination Nature add-on, you still have to go camping to catch bugs. There are 21 different kinds of bugs to look for in the woods. Don't hesitate to visit the hermit too...
The collections of the extension At Work
And finally (for real) if you have the add-on At workyou can go to the famous planet Sixam. Let's talk about it this time! The main question is: how to get there? First of all, you need to discover the Electroflux Wormhole Generator invention. At the same time, you need to build a rocket and raise your Rocketry skill to level 10. Once these two conditions are met, you can upgrade your rocket by adding the famous Wormhole Generator... And thus, go to the planet! Once on the SixamYou still have to gather the 3 plants, 2 metals, 2 crystals, and the 6 geodes. The geodes are collected on the ground. You must then polish them to be able to expose them...
This time, we've done the trick! But one last point by the way. If you've gone to the trouble of collecting everything and want to show it off, with a museum for example, be aware that display stands are rare. Apart from the dedicated supports I already told you about, there are pedestals. But only in the add-on Get to Work. For the others, you will have to be satisfied with the shelves. Because the Roman pedestal may allow you to display your boss (according to the description), but it does not allow you to display a collectible! Otherwise, you have the good old chest to store everything!
Here it is... I think I've done the trick... On paper! Because in real life, I could only finish the metal collection !!! So, good luck to the collectors and good sunday !
