Death of old age
The classic one to start with, death by old age. It's the easiest to prevent that said since you just have to play with the game settings to change the life span of your characters. A long term reward "Youth Potion" also allows you to live longer like the milk from the cow plant.
To find out how much time your Sim has left before dying of old age, take a look at the bar indicating your Sim's age. As soon as your Sim is a senior citizen and his or her life bar is full, it means that he or she has more or less 48 Sims hours left to live. Death by fire
