This week, we put on our overalls and boots to discover or rather rediscover the Fishing skill in The Sims 4. In this guide, we'll introduce you to the different levels, some tips on how to progress and the various rewards. We will also show you some places to fish.
The different levels
Le jeu Les Sims 4 possède des dizaines d’endroits où trouver du poisson. Une vingtaines d’espèces de poisson peuvent être pêchées avec le jeu de base mais vous ne les débloquerez qu’au fur et à mesure de votre progression à travers les différents niveaux. Ces niveaux vous permettront également de débloquer quelques interactions pour augmenter vos chances d’avoir de grosses prises.
La compétence pêche a été remodelée avec l’arrivée de l’extension Iles Paradisiaques. Les avantages en italique dans le tableau ci-dessous nécessitent cette extension.

The fish
Where to fish?
There are usually several fishing areas per neighborhood. All are marked with a small sign on the ground making them easy to find.
In Willow Creek's Foundry Cove neighborhood, for example, there are three different zones:
Each of these areas will not necessarily yield the same species or the same rarity of fish. We will explain below where to catch the different fish.
Notez d’ailleurs que d’autres choses peuvent être pêches comme des graines, des objets, des potions, des pièces d’amélioration ou encore une poupée vaudou.
Grâce à l’extension Iles Paradisiaques, vous pouvez aussi partir pêcher en mer grâce à votre bateau. Montez dessus à Sulani et cliquez sur “Aller pêcher” ou “Tenter de faire une grosse prise”.

Use bait
Certaines espèces de poisson demandent des appâts pour être pêchées. Cela augmente vos chances d’obtenir certains de ces poissons. Il peut s’agir de plantes ou d’autres poissons. Les appâts sont indiqués dans votre carnet au fur et à mesure de vos découvertes.
Fish traps
Avec l’extension Iles Paradisiaques, vous avez la possibilité de mettre en place des pièges à poisson. Le nombre dépend de votre niveau de compétence. Chaque piège à poisson peut être placé au bord de l’eau, en eau moyennes ou au fond de l’eau, principalement à Sulani. Cela vous permet d’attraper certaines espèces de poisson qui viendront à l’intérieur du piège au bout de 48 heures environ.
What to do with the fish caught?
Caught fish can remain in your inventory for up to 24 hours before rotting. It is highly recommended to quickly place your catch in an aquarium or in the fridge depending on what you want to do with it.
Les poissons peuvent être vendus pour vous faire quelques simflouzs, ils peuvent être mangés, être utilisé comme engrais dans le jardin ou être empaillés avant d’être accroché au mur en guise de trophée. Cette décoration vous apportera un état d’esprit Confiant.
Avec l’extension Iles Paradisiaques, vous risquez de pêcher certaines espèces comme le thon rouge qui sont protégées. Le jeu vous proposera alors de relâcher le spécimen ou de le garder.
