Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

After a tour in China at Shang Simla il y a quelques jours, partons maintenant en Egypte ! Avec Les Sims 3 Destination Aventure, vous pouvez y explorer des temples enfouis et même le Sphynx ! C’est parti !

The town of Al Simhara

Al Simhara is a small village in the middle of the desert. You'll find everything you need for an expedition at the local vendors. Egyptian recipe books are on sale at the bookshop.

Your base camp contains everything you need to start your adventure and rest at any time.

Snake charmers

The charmer skill is a hidden skill. You can buy a basket with a snake in it for 325 simflouzs. The further you progress, the more you can put dangerous snakes in the box, or even kiss them.

The adventures

Business abroad

For the first quest of your trip to Egypt, you'll need to contact one of the locals, who will suggest that you go to the Tomb of Discovery. It's clear from the name that this won't be the most complicated tomb in the game, but let's get to it!

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Once you've reached the tomb, located on the grounds of the base camp, descend the first set of stairs.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Collect the coins and open the chest to obtain the keystone.

Then climb the mechanism on the floor to reveal a staircase.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Go down to the lower floor, climb the mechanism again, then in the following rooms, slide the statue onto the slab.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

You've reached the safe room! Empty the box to retrieve the requested documents, push the door hidden in the wall to unlock additional coins, then rise to the surface to deliver the documents.

In the heart of fire

For this quest, we're going to one of the pyramids surrounding Al Simhara! Inspect the door to enter.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

The aim is to collect 5 flambé fruits growing inside the tomb. Let's take a quick tour of the different rooms! We'll start with the back room. Take a look inside the sarcophagi, get your hands on the switches and place the statues on the slabs to unlock a host of rewards.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Go down the stairs to search the basement. At one point, you'll be blocked by a large boulder requiring a powerful axe from China. Continue your journey through the door at the far end to find a succession of chests. To get to this room, make sure you take the right-hand path... I'm just saying.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Continue through the corridor and back up to the entrance. In the first corridor, place the keystone and deactivate the trap in the middle of the room. Go through the basin at the far end to unlock the door.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Go down the steps and you should find the first flambéed fruits. Continue along the path to find more.

The mummies

The mummies are, of course, hidden in the sarcophagi. They can come out if you trigger a mechanism that you'd be better off not touching, or if you rummage around in the wrong sarcophagus.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Mummies will be looking for a fight as soon as they see you. The first way to avoid this is to run. Mummies run much more slowly than you do for obvious reasons, not least of which are the strips of clothing they wear. If you see a fire trap nearby, you can also send her into it to kill her again.

If you're looking for a new neighborhood for your Sims, we can also suggest the special guide  Visit to Twinbrook

If you're brave, you can also choose to fight it. Here, there are three possible outcomes. You win if you have a high Martial Art (level 10 required) or Physical skill, you lose and you're a bit stunned, you lose and you go home with a curse! Fortunately, our mummy seems to like us a lot...

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Well, no, actually.

The curse of the mummy

Well, for a first encounter with a mummy, it wasn't a success. The mummy's curse is to be taken seriously. Not only does it add a negative state of mind for 14 days, but your Sim is likely to die after that time!

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

I might as well tell you that with a state of mind like this, your current exploration comes to a screeching halt, as your Sim is in too bad a mood to do anything.

However, there are several ways to heal:

  • Sleeping in the sarcophagus of blessed kings
  • Kissing a snake (as a Snake Charmer)
  • Imploring the sphinx

We'll try the latter! Go to the Sphinx! Click on it and select "Summon the Sphinx".

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

You'll then be allowed inside! You'll arrive in a particularly hot room.

The mechanism on the ground will only deactivate the flames lit behind you. Pass through the small basins to push the statues onto the traps and then onto the mechanisms.

Then poke the two holes in the floor to activate a staircase.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Poke around the various rooms, then continue through the door to the corridor lit by purple lights. In front of the door is a message.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

We'll follow these instructions and go to the corresponding basin to activate a switch.

In the next room, collect the various items of loot and inspect the walls for a door.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

You'll find a small bathroom and a keystone. In the next room, there's a labyrinth to get through.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Continue upstairs until you come to a statue!

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Click on it and select Find purification.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

This ceremony will not only rid you of the curse, but also make you immune to the Sphinx's blessing during your future travels.

Direction Al Simhara in Egypt

Get a controllable mummy without "sacrificing" a sim.

If your sim brings back all the pieces of one of the sarcophagi, he can build one, and by clicking on it, the "Bring the mummy" interaction appears. The result is a controllable mummy!

Characteristics of a mummy

Any controllable mummy has the normal needs of a sim except bladder and sleep. She walks more slowly than other sims. They are frightened when she talks to them. All normal interactions are possible with her except those in the romance section (not baby mummy, but that wouldn't be pretty).

What do you think about it?
