Arrivée avec Les Sims 3 Ile de Rêve, elle fait son retour dans le quatrième opus en tant que carrière à mi-temps. Et oui, exit les journées passées au bord de la plage à surveiller vos congénères. Maintenant, vous pouvez cumuler votre travail ainsi qu’une autre activité comme pêcheur ou plongeur ! Et le must, vous pouvez même choisir vos horaires ! Est-ce que les Sims se noieront plus le matin ou le soir ? A vous de choisir entre 8h-12h et 17h-21h.

As a part-time career, she has only three steps:
- Level 1: CPR Manikin Substitute - 33§/h
- Level 2 : Wave supervisor - 40§/h
- Level 3: Prolific whistler: 48§/h
To pass the levels, you just have to increase your Fitness skill. Level 2 to get the first promotion and 4 for the second.
In terms of rewards, the Wave Watcher will win a special swimsuit to wear outside of work as well as a life preserver. The prolific whistler will take home a full-size beach towel. Another "perk" of being a lifeguard is that you can keep an eye on the surroundings for any danger, which is simply your sim looking around with a serious look.
