Animal Crossing Challenge

Animal Crossing Challenge

I just translated and formatted this Challenge for the forum, it was created HERE and doesn't belong to me.

Animal Crossing Challenge

The Animal Crossing Challenge represents a new way of playing that focuses not on earning money or glory, but on friendships and collecting items.

The Animal Crossing Challenge has 3 main objectives:

  1. Fill in and complete the Museum
  2. Making friends
  3. Making your city evolve

To start the challenge, download the "Animal Crossing Village" terrain built by the challenge creator in the following gallery: SimifyMeCaptain. Il est préférable d’avoir le code de triche Moveobjects d’activé lors de son installation.

You will then have to move in the sim of your choice using the cheat code freerealestate which allows you to acquire land free of charge.

You can then start decorating the houses, although you'll need to buy a suit of armor to place at the museum entrance to reduce your basic funds!

Museum rules

  • Do not change the size / shape of the rooms
  • Possibility of adding a second floor
  • Possibility of adding an Observatory, but only upstairs!
  • Possibility of adding a Laboratory.
  • Don't use the room at the entrance for collectibles - it's a reception area. Decorate it as you wish.

The Museum, the large building in the corner at the back, has 6 sections. When you start the challenge, each section is empty! You're free to modify them as you see fit, but you can't change the size or shape of any of the rooms. The front room is an Entrance Hall and cannot be used to store collectibles or as a living space. You can display/store collectibles in the other 5 rooms/sections as you wish. To complete the Museum, you need :

  • All Crystals / Metals / Elements
  • All fossils
  • All MySims Awards
  • All fish
  • All images from the microscope
  • All space images
  • All postcards

They should all be placed on the first floor and only on the first floor. Postcards can be placed in the foyer or in your home. You can add a second floor, but if you do, it can only be used after you've reached "110% museum completion". The 110% completion rate is awarded after obtaining all the objects in the space as well as a famous painting of each painting style, not forgetting all the frog types. None of this is necessary; it's an optional set of additional goals.

If you're looking for new challenges for The Sims 4, we recommend  Halloween Challenge: Will you survive?

The second floor of the museum can also be used to build a café. But you can't use it as living quarters. Only decorations, collectibles, seating and a coffee stand can be added! Nothing else.

There are 3 little houses on the plot! Each one represents a 6×6 room. You can't add walls. You may NOT enlarge the houses. You must live only in this space! Decorate the houses as you like. The outside can be decorated, but don't cheat. Don't put kitchen items outside, beds in the open air, etc. Only items found in the Outdoors category can go outside. You can make an exception by adding a single outdoor toilet corner to save a little space.

Store rules

There's a Nook store at the back and a police station at the front. You can't change them. You can change what's sold in the store, but only what's on the table and the three items along the wall at the back. The table and decorations must remain in place. This gives you a few extra freedoms to, for example, work with skill-enhancing items. The police station is essentially decorative, but you can place objects on the table if you feel like it.

Rules of life

Auto aging is not required. You can deactivate it as you wish. You can even play with several generations of sims. Your main sim (or sims) needs to find a job to pass the time, and unlock items/contents/collections, as well as pay the bills. However, once he has reached level 10 (valid for all sims on the lot), he must resign. All sims living on the lot can have a job, but their combined job levels can't exceed 12. For example, if you have two sims, one at level 8 and the other at level 3, one of them must quit before the other can be promoted. This is to ensure that the sims don't fall headlong into the usual money-making routine. It's worth noting that, due to the extent of the terrain used in play, the bills will be quite high at the start of the challenge. You may find it hard to keep up.

Other rules

Modifications to the basic structure are not permitted. This means: no relocated ponds, no change of location for rocks or paving stones on the ground, not even for buildings or the station, etc. You may change the wall coverings. Do not touch trees or plants already in place outside.
Of course, you can leave the city!

Basically, you are only allowed to change the structure of the museum.
And... to reach your goals!

I've set up the village, and my simsette has chosen her little house.
She started the excavations and hunts for different objects to collect.
But when I want to set up furniture to display these finds, the furniture won't set up and I get a sentence saying it can't touch other objects when the rooms are empty. scratch I don't see what's wrong.
