Tips for meeting aliens in The Sims 3

Do you dream of meeting E.T. but don't know how to proceed?
Would you like to test the abilities of the little green men and terrorize your neighborhood with fire lasers?
This dossier will answer all your questions about Sims from outer space. Happy reading!

Attracting the attention of aliens

  • Using a telescope, increase your logic skills by "traversing the galaxy" and "looking through it". You'll need to reach level 9 to hope for alien abduction.
  • After long hours of scanning the sky, a UFO appears in the sky and abducts one of the members of the household (not necessarily the one using the telescope). The abducted Sim will then be untraceable, and a "mysterious anomaly investigation" activity icon will appear. The Sim will be escorted home by an extraterrestrial barely 1 hour later, and will resume its daily routine. It will be impossible to speak to the alien, as it only stays in the field for a short time.
  • In the experience of some forum members, aliens can also appear without your Sims having any particular skills. So if you're not particularly interested in meeting them, be patient - one of them may turn up unexpectedly.

Visited by an extraterrestrial

  • Keep using the telescope as much as possible. Even when you've reached level 10, you'll need to "roam the galaxy" and "look through it" for many more hours.
  • Pick up the gems you see on your way, it seems that their collection motivates the aliens to come.
  • Occasionally, a message warns you that a meteorite has just crashed in the neighborhood. Go to "Plan View" mode, locate the meteorite and pick it up.
  • Don't despair: while alien abduction is relatively quick, I personally had to wait over 30 Sims days (and 5 abductions) before receiving my long-awaited visit.
  • One fine day, a green-skinned Sims peers through your windows. Now's your chance to strike up a conversation. As soon as you do, he'll join your contacts in the phonebook, making it easy to communicate with him.

Interact with an extraterrestrial

  • Very similar to ordinary Sims in their behavior, aliens are not particularly difficult to make friends with. Interactions are identical to those we've already seen, and you'll need to proceed in the same way as usual to initiate a friendly relationship.
  • When this is the case, you can offer your galactic Sim to move into your home.

The capabilities of an extraterrestrial

  • Once you've moved in, you can control the new inhabitant. The new inhabitant possesses a number of powers with different effects. By clicking on himself, he can "Scan the object" and thus modify his perception of the environment.
  • Aliens can also "Scan" a Sims to discover its character traits.
  • They can "Probe" another Sim, but this doesn't seem to have any particular effect.
  • By "Bio-depleting" a Sim, the alien will steal some of its natural reserves, such as hygiene or appetite. Conversely, he can sacrifice himself and offer his own reserves by "Bio-enhancing" a Sim.
  • For aliens, "Brain Power" will replace the traditional energy bar. To recover, simply click on the alien and choose "Restore Brain Power". They can still "Sleep", but this will have no impact on filling their needs bars.
  • When an object is broken, a "Recombobulate broken device" option is available, enabling the alien to repair the object in just a few seconds.
  • With a full brain power bar, aliens have the ability to send meteorites into community and residential lots throughout the neighborhood. Beware, the effects are devastating! They can then collect the meteor and its debris to sell or consume to regain maximum brain power.
  • Aliens can work in the same way as any other Sims, but they are assigned a specific job. By clicking on the neighborhood laboratory, a "Take a part-time job as an alien guinea pig" option is available. By accepting the job, the alien will start at the rank of "Associate Probe Tester". To earn a nice sum of Simflouzes, aliens can also "Sell alien secrets" to a military base.
  • By clicking on a stone, an alien has the ability to "Transform" it to increase its value.

The Galaxa space car

  • Each alien's inventory includes a Galaxa space car. It's a fast-moving vehicle that further enhances the capabilities of green-skinned Sims. It can be placed on a driveway to undergo upgrades.
  • The Galaxa space car, for example, offers the option of "Creating a storm". The alien will disappear into his vehicle for a few moments, and on his return, heavy rain will fall on the neighborhood and violent thunderstorms will break out in the dark sky. It could also be a snowstorm.
  • By choosing the "Laser Cannon" upgrade, the alien can "Invade a community area" by firing laser beams and burning some of the Sims present.
  • You can also choose to "kidnap a Sim" by selecting from the list of available Sims. The animation will then be identical to the abduction a member of your household experienced a few days earlier.
  • By choosing the "Space Travel" upgrade, he can fly to three inter-galactic destinations and bring back stones of varying value. On his return, the alien will benefit from a "Space travel" moodlet that will have a positive impact on his mood for 5 hours.

Newcomers

  • After an abduction, your Sim can return pregnant, whether male or female.
  • It is not possible to design aliens from CAS. However, you can give your Sim an alien look by making his ears pointy, enlarging his eyes and choosing a green skin color.
  • A human and an alien can reproduce. Pregnancy proceeds like a normal pregnancy. As far as I'm concerned, the first birth was of false twins. Whether this was a coincidence or the intention of the designers remains to be seen! The babies have green skin but an energy bar like humans. It's not until adolescence that energy gives way to "brain power". They will then have all the powers of aliens.

    Thank you for this information!
Following an abduction, my sim became pregnant, and now Venus (a pretty name for an extraterrestrial) is a teenager, so I wanted to know if, like normal sims, she could be with everyone (male or female?) because I'd like to get her engaged to a woman so I can adopt her.

Not long ago in a game, an extraterrestrial came into my garden with a little machine that scanned things (I think he'd been sent to gather information about the Sims planet). However, my Sim has never looked through a telescope. It was the first time I'd ever seen an extraterrestrial, and I never took any more interest than that - maybe I was wrong. :)

If your alien is a woman and senior, she won't be able to have a baby (same if they are not aliens, eh).
A senior man can have children with an adult or young adult woman, however.

I've married my sims and in fact I only have the option to "poof", whereas I want to have a child with the alien and I've noticed that my alien is senile. Does this have an impact?

A little trick to bond a fast friendship. Try to make a genie in your family. You can then bewitch the alien and control him for a few hours. During those few hours, try to be friendly with your own sims. Make sure the sims has the supernatural fan trait, too, so you can befriend the alien more quickly.

So, in my opinion, it's more luck, although having logic points must still have a major influence =3

Otherwise loulou79, yes it's only present in sims 3 seasons. E.T are a new feature of this add-on =3

    Thank you, for this tuto!
It really makes me want aliens :p
With all the powers that be x)

Thanks a lot, I was wondering when those green sims would come to invade my world, I'm a bit more enlightened about it! :) Thanks for the light ^^

The only thing I've seen is that it can't be removed with the mod mentioned above.
But aliens can come to your door and just look at what you've got outside, they don't do any damage unlike zombies.

Besides, the aliens are really good at learning DA songs.

There's no option for aliens at all (there is to prevent the proliferation of vampires, werewolves and the like, but not for them, I think - try to remember -).

  11. Avatar photo

and if you don't want aliens, what do you do? Is there something to tick in the game options?

  12. Avatar photo

I didn't mean to... the guy paints and poof he comes down 3 stairs to be "probed".
... in fact I hadn't seen it but it's armored in logic, it's a sim that I put in the catalog in 2010 and which had all the skills available at the time to the max, so that explains the ease.

In another part, an alien soon came to observe. But I was scared so I didn't talk to him.

  13. Avatar photo

It's funny, I spent the evening in the game talking to a "friend" whose sim has just been kidnapped and is pregnant again ^^.

Rabi, you should add it to the tuto...nanmého!

So it was strange because my household is made up of 2 sims, always the same Sheeva the teenager and Frank the father. At first it was the teenager who was always missing. She had been looking at the stars, but the telescope was in the house. Then she found a space rock. Is there a connection?
Then it was the father's turn to be caught, and poof! a kid!

It's the first time in a game that this has happened to me, well I haven't been killed by a meteor yet, so knock on wood.

Thank you for this tuto! I should have seen it sooner... I had just started my game when an alien came during the night... I didn't know what to do so I let it go ><

  16. Avatar photo

Thanks for the tuto Rab. The car looks nice!

  17. Avatar photo

Ok Thanks, at home it was always at night, so I'll persevere during the day ;-)

  18. Avatar photo

Yes, abductions can take place day or night, and when an alien came to plant himself in front of my windows, it was broad daylight ;)

  19. Avatar photo

Can an ET appear during the day?

  20. Avatar photo

Thank you Rab for this guide! :) I'll probably try it this weekend :)

Bilu fell in love with his ET, he's going to divorce his sims to run away with an alien! I don't know if it will be easy psychologically for the sims spouse

  21. Avatar photo

I've just had a visit from my first E.T., and I'm thrilled! Well, he left as quickly as he came, but that's okay, I thought my game was buggy, but no!

  22. Avatar photo

    You're welcome Bilu :p

  23. Avatar photo
