In spite of the strong heat still present in the south, the autumn is well here! And thanks to the add-on Sims 4 Seasons released in June 2018The Sims 4 are entitled to it too!

For us, autumn, and more specifically the month of October, rhymes with Halloween. Simsis the Harvest Festival !

Preparation of the Watch

Your Sim has finished the work and tomorrow is the Harvest Festival and nothing is ready! Don't panic, the Gurus have everything planned in terms of decorations. The catalog offers us some decorations to brighten up your exterior and interior.

Thanks to the decoration box that you can put at home and that you will use for every Simsyou can allow your Sim to look for some decorations ("Scavenging for fall decorations"). After they appear, just place them in the place that suits you best.

Don't you think your home is lacking in pizzazz? Here's the solution! Thanks to the action "Select holiday decorations" of the decoration box, you can decorate your house with different garlands, pennants etc... It's up to you to make your choice, and it will be difficult, because there are many possibilities!

D-Day

The time has arrived: it is 6am, let the Harvest Festival begin!

On this Sims holiday, there are 4 traditions that you have to complete during the day. You have until 2am the next day to complete them.

Decorate

Place holiday decorations from the Construction Mode. Decorate the exterior of the house by placing and using the box of decorations. (Logically, this tradition is done the day before as explained just before)

Holiday Gnomes

Find the gnomes that have appeared on your land and offer them your respect and gifts to the friendly gnomes in hopes of getting festive rewards.

Big meal

Prepare a large meal to share.

Gratitude

Take time to reflect and be grateful for what you have.

As you can see from the pictures, one of your Sims can either love a tradition or completely ignore it. The more traditions are done, the more successful the holiday will be!

To know if you are doing the right things to make your tradition successful, a sign appears next to it if it is used for the Harvest Festival.

Holiday Gnomes

When the party has started, gnomes appear in your house Sim. Generally, there are 3 of them. To accomplish this tradition, you must gain their respect with the following action: "Calm the gnome". Several actions are possible to gain the respect of the gnomes: you can give them several things.

Be careful, it doesn't work every time! The gnome may get angry and break some objects in your house. But don't worry, you can try to gain his trust again by using the action "Begging for forgiveness".

When you succeeded in gaining the trust of this one, a small halo appears above his head. During the day, the gnomes move in your house. The ones with a halo on their head offer you a packet of seeds as a gift each time they move.

Big meal

It's time to eat! To do this tradition, you just have to click on your fridge or stove to "Prepare a big meal". You can choose between 5 dishes and once it's ready, just eat your plate!

Gratitude

To validate this last tradition, you just have to talk to different Sims and use the interactions with the Harvest Festival sign.
