I know it's hard to believe, but my store wasn't always the fashion powerhouse it is today. I recently found a letter I wrote to my sister, Mo, the day I came to town. I came across it the same way I do most of my treasures: while taking inventory of my velvet coat collection. Unfortunately, the letter was returned to me because the postal service didn't appreciate my use of glitter paper due to mail weight limits (excuse me to try to put some style into the mundane municipal post office). So I tweeted him every line and kept the original letter, which I'm happy to share with you.

Dear Mo,
I went to the city park yesterday and found the perfect spot next to an adorable little cafe. Unlike stripes and florals, it turns out that long runs and decorative ties on clothes just don't work well together. There were buttons everywhere! After dealing with this avalanche, I got the store ready for my future fashion fan clients.
All the Sims I've met so far have been lovely. Some have minor style issues, but nothing an Izzy Fabulous makeover can't fix! I think I'll take your advice and start charging fashion gems for these models.
You should really come see me because I also have great news: I've managed to put personalized effects on my clothes. Yes, you read that right! So if you're in the mood for a blazer that makes lightning bolts or a camisole that gives you angel wings, just come to my store in the city park! And of course, that goes for all my customers. Sims can proudly wear my outfits to parties for a chance to get stickers like Cute or Fabulous that tell them other Sims love their look!
This is a turning point in my career, and I bet you felt the same way when you opened your hair salon. Thanks for taking care of my hair before I left, by the way. I love my pink hair. I thought my color was purple for a long time and now, all of a sudden, surprise! I've actually always been a cotton candy!
This perfectly sums up what fashion and style are all about! A way to express yourself! And an opportunity to take risks! To tell the world that you don't care if it rains today: you wear suede, period. End of story. Or has it just begun?
