The Sims 2 talent badges

To get talent badges, there is no secret, you have to do the interactions over and over again. A cashier badge will be earned after cashing in dozens of customers, etc... Each badge has three levels: bronze, silver and gold. By unlocking these badges you will also unlock faster interactions or with more chances of success.

Your Sims' badges can be viewed in the Career tab.

Sims 2 Bargain Badges

This additional disk comes with 7 different badges. The badges are most useful here as they are displayed when you are looking for an employee for your store. The more badges the employee has at a higher level the more satisfied your customers will be but the higher their salary should be.

Cashier

This badge is obtained simply by using the cash register. A high competence in Logic can be useful to learn faster. A Sim who does not have a badge will be very, very slow to cash out and will go faster and faster with each level. You only need to cash in a dozen Sims to advance to the next level.

Cosmetology

Here your Sim will have to do hair, hair and more hair. You will start by missing a lot of cuts and getting few tips. As you progress, this trend will reverse and the time to get a cut will also get shorter.

Floral composition

A very useful badge if you want to be a florist, here it is in front of the floral workstation "Rose Perfume" that you will have to practice designing bouquets. Here you will have to alternate bouquets to advance the levels. Be careful, this badge is very linked to the Creativity skill. The lower your Creativity level, the more bouquets you have to make to earn the next badge.

LevelPrerequisitesUnlocked package

Bronze Badge10-20 bunches of daisiesBouquets of wild flowers and tulips
Silver Badge16-32 bouquets of wild flowers and 16-32 bouquets of tulipsBouquets of mixed flowers and roses

Note that the wolf's mouths are known to raise all the need bars of your Sims... It can still be useful.

Progressing in this skill will make you spend some simflouzs since you will have to pay for the design of each bouquet, which you can of course resell afterwards.

Robotics and Servos

Robotics is a very interesting badge in The Sims 2 since it is thanks to it that you will be able to create the new creature of The Sims 2 The Good Business: the Servos. Everything happens in front of the robot building posts. Here too, depending on your level of competence in Mechanicsthe number of robots to build may be different.

LevelPrerequisitesUnlocked robot

Silver Badge6 - 13 hydrobots and 3-8 aspiratorsGuardian robot, gastrominator
Gold Badge5-11 guard robots and 3-8 gastrominatorsServos

Developing this badge will take you a lot of time. A miniature robot can be built in 15 to 50 minutes depending on your badge, a gastrominator in 4 to 5 hours and a servo takes 12h30... That said, robots have their advantages.

  • The miniature robot acts like a classic toy. Your Sims can play with it, they can break it and give an electric shock.
  • A vacuum cleaner cleans your property. However, he will only clean what is on the ground, so don't count on him to clean your work surface. Instead, it will empty the garbage cans, vacuum the plates and bottles on the floor, the old newspapers and the dog poop. If the robot is broken, it will empty itself all over the house.
  • L'hydrobot puts out fires and waters plants. As soon as it breaks it will start watering everywhere creating puddles or weeds if it is outside.
  • As its name suggests, the guardian robot protects your home. It will give electric shocks to burglars, to the cow mascot, to newspaper thieves, to those who knock over garbage cans,... It can give shocks to sims who are about to do a negative action like knocking over a gnome. On the other hand if it is broken it will start to electrocute anyone on the field.
  • The gastrominator is a bit like the Uber of the old world, it fetches itself food outside the field as soon as your Sim is starving. The bill is of course deducted from your household funds. This robot can bring you pizzas or a dish from the Chinese restaurant. If the robot is broken, the food brought will be burnt or of poor quality.
  • Finally, the servos are a creature of their own in the game.
    • You can control them like normal Sims, give them a name, a gender, a personality and an aspiration.
    • Servos do not need comfort, hygiene, or hunger. For the rest they behave like other Sims. They start their life with Cooking, Mechanics and Cleaning skills at maximum and with one or more randomly assigned talent badges.
    • Servos can be hybrids and become zombies, werewolves, etc... except ghosts, as they can't die.
    • To fulfill their energy needs, the servos can be switched off to recharge.
    • If the servo is in contact with water, all requirements will decrease to a minimum resulting in a breakage.
    • The servos will take care of the various household tasks in your home.

  • Bronze Badge: "Offer at a 'discounted' price".
