The Sims has encouraged many players to become modders, enabling them to add game elements not currently found in the game.
One of these modders started out playing The Sims on his friends' computers, then found a copy of a Sims 2 disc at a flea market, and his love for the game grew exponentially. And so Arnie SimPlus was born.
After spending many years playing The Sims, Arnie was inspired by the Twisted Mexi legend to become a modder. Arnie began by creating "small" mods, then went on to create mods that many of us know today, such as Farmland, Plumfruit, World Edit and more.
In May 2022, Arnie hinted at an announcement, and speculation was rife. Simmers the world over thought Arnie had been hired by EA to work on The Sims, and why not? After all, his mods are amazing, creative and totally unique. Unfortunately, the announcement wasn't what everyone expected when Arnie finally revealed that he was leaving the Sims community and modding to create his own games in his new digital arts studio: Arnie's Workshop.
This month, we wanted to congratulate Arnie on his achievements and show all budding modders what can be created when you work hard and believe in yourself.

Plumfruit 2 & Simstagram
These two mods bring your Sims into the digital age. The Plumfruit is a bit like the Apple of our Sims. With it, you get a new interface for your phones. In addition to the usual interactions, all the applications worthy of the latest smartphones have been added. The Maps app lets you travel wherever you want, including to places like At Work. The Messages app lets you send a personalized message to other Sims. The Simstagram app is, of course, a social network where you can post photos, comments,...
Just like Apple, different devices are available, each unlocking their own applications: the PlumPhone, the PlumPad, the PlumMac etc...
This mod is also available in French, thanks to a translation by KimikoSoma who, we're sure, has had a lot of fun translating apps like AdoptUnSim.
The Magic Winter Festival
