To get started you will need to contact an agent who will seek auditions for you. Once hired, you'll need to go through makeup and wardrobe before shooting! Your performance will determine the notoriety you will gain when it airs.

You can't break into show business without an agent! To start your acting career, your Sim will need to contact one first. When your Sim calls them, the agencies offer auditions that may open the door to success, fame and fortune.
If they get an audition, your Sim will have to work on the skills required. For a pirate-themed audition, physical prowess will be expected and will require training. For a romantic drama, charisma is essential. Will your Sim get the part? If so, it's the beginning of the glory. You can now choose to send your Sim to work alone or accompany him/her to the set.
I will work
On set, your Sim will have to go through hair, makeup, and costume department (the costumes alone are worth going with your Sim), and then act out their scenes using the skills they've been working on. If your Sim does well, bingo! Over time, he'll earn fame points that will allow him to purchase fame perks. Hooray! Also, when your Sim becomes a Rookie Celebrity, one of the first levels of fame, they get a special perk. The more famous your Sim becomes, the more special features he gets. Will he be a paparazzi darling or a serious actor, or will he have more obsessive fans than other Sims?
You can track your Sim's progress in the Fame Info panel, which will help you manage your Sim's perks and special features. As your Sim earns perks through fame points, he will steer his career in a specific direction. Will he prefer to think of the needy or just stir up trouble? That choice is in your hands.
It is by acting that one becomes an actor
When your Sim isn't selling the dream on stage, he or she has plenty of options to advance their career. Memorizing a script, working on a scene with someone, or giving a performance to get advice will improve his acting. The better your Sim's acting, the more exciting his movie projects will be. He can progress through a moving hospital scene, a police station thriller or even a post-apocalyptic drama. Hmm... Great!
To increase their notoriety, Sims can create profiles on social networks and perform many other actions.
