The first details on the Batuu travel pack

Un premier article vient d’être publié sur le blog du jeu au sujet du pack Les Sims 4 Star Wars Voyage à Batuu. On y découvre quelques détails sur les missions, les points d’influence et les vaisseaux disponibles en jeu.

In a galaxy far, far away, in the heart of the Outer Rim, the world of Batuu spins under its three suns, hosting both the brave Resistance and the infamous First Order, as well as unscrupulous scoundrels taking advantage of the chaos. The outcome of this conflict is up to your Sims in The Sims™ 4 game pack Star Wars™: Journey to Batuu*, available September 8!

Explore the farthest reaches of the galaxy

As soon as your Sims arrive on Batuu, they will be immersed in the visual, sound and olfactory universe of Star Wars™. Majestic petrified trees tower over the settlements and ships with squeaky engines fly above your Sims. The Black Arrow Outpost is bursting with activity with local aliens and overworked droids going about their business. Vendors serve Ronto Wraps and Fried Endorian Tip-Yip to hungry Niktos and Rodians. Curious Abednedos, Mirialans, and Twi'leks browse the items in the Dok-Ondar Antique Shop. Your Sims may recognize a certain famous ship, the Millennium Falcon™, or will try to avoid being spotted by stormtrooper patrols. But once they arrive, they will never want to leave.

Build a reputation

The tension between the factions on Batuu is evident. Stormtroopers patrol the streets, looking for evidence of the Resistance in hiding; and rebels hatch secret plans in their mysterious bunker. Even smugglers are doing lucrative business, staying neutral to take advantage of both the Resistance and the First Order. So which group will your Sim join?

DJ R-3X, the droid in charge of music at Oga's Cantina, is the best point of contact for learning about the different factions. At first, the missions are simple: send your Sim to search crates of supplies, or go on a quest to find out about the growing presence of the Resistance. Upon successful completion of a mission, your Sims earn rewards, and gain reputation points with the associated faction. Upgrade your Sim's reputation to move up the ranks from sympathizer or supporter to Resistance or First Order sergeant. While galactic credits motivate your Sim more than ideals, scoundrels are always looking for help; business is business!

As your Sim's reputation improves, it will also influence the reactions of Batuu's inhabitants. A Sim who is held in high regard by the First Order will find it difficult to talk to Resistance supporters. Climbing the ladder by completing missions also provides new contacts in the factions. Depending on your Sim's choice, he or she might run into Vi Moradi on a mission, Rey practicing with her lightsaber, Kylo Ren in a temper tantrum, or Hondo Ohnaka cheating at a game of sabacc.

Get items and treasures

It would not be Star Wars™ without lightsabers or droids. On Batuu, Sims can find the parts to create their own lightsabers! Go to Savi's Workshop to see some options for handles and Kyber Crystals, or complete missions to earn rare parts as rewards. Test out different crystals to find the one that's right for you, then start training! Practicing Lightsaber alone or with other Sims also allows you to develop the Fitness skill.

Need a friend on Batuu? Why not a droid?! Simply collect scrap metal from the scrap heaps on Batuu and earn enough galactic credits, then purchase a Droid from the Droid Depot, which offers both the R and BB series of astromech Droids. Once your Sim has customized his Droid, give it a name and watch it in action! Your Sim's new friend will follow him around Batuu. Also, Droids are useful for missions. They can use their scanners and electroshock prods to help Sims by searching crates, jamming control panels, or distracting members of the opposing faction. This are the droids you are looking for!

Take things home with you

When your Sim returns from Batuu, it won't be empty-handed. Modify your home decor and even your recipes with new items inspired by Star Wars™. Whether Sims are displaying antiques found on Batuu or completely changing their decor to replicate the homes of the Black Arrow Outpost, they have everything they need to keep their adventure in mind Star Wars™. Invite your neighbors over anytime for a game of sabacc or a lightsaber practice session.
