A whole new world
The arrival of a new expansion pack means the arrival of a new world in your game! Del Sol Valley, the city of stars and up-and-coming talent, is waiting for you. The residential area is divided into two parts: Mirage Park at the foot of the hills, with its low-cost housing, and The Pinnacles, where the wealthy overlook the city from the peaks. Your Sims will be able to go to museums, nightclubs, fancy cafes and other interesting places. But beware, not all Sims have access to these places. It's best to have your name on the list. You may be able to convince the bouncer with your charm or wit. If not, you'll have to come back later. When you are famous and nothing can resist you.
A star is born in the Sims
Find Starlight Boulevard, because your Sim was born to walk the red carpet. Your acting career has arrived, and a story full of twists and turns awaits you if you embrace it. So how do you put your Sim's name at the top of the bill? First of all, go for the acting career. As long as he can keep up with the demand, he'll be able to live an exhilarating existence in the glitterati. Working on your acting, gaining followers on social networks and joining the right agency are part of every star's obligations. The higher your level of notoriety, the more you unlock rewards worthy of your status, like a bling-bling phone. Come on, it feels good to show off once in a while.
And you'll even get to follow your Sim through his acting career. Watch his acting prowess in the studio, where hair and makeup professionals will transform him before he steps in front of the camera for a heart-stopping performance. The more fame points you earn, the more benefits you get.
The celebrity factor
Each Sim residing in Del Sol Valley has a Public Image, which combines their Reputation and Celebrity levels. As his or her fame level increases, he or she earns Fame Points, unlocks perks, and gains privileges such as the ability to pass under the velvet cord in the most popular lines. There are many ways to earn points and benefits. Your Sim can play music or tell jokes on an open stage, donate to charity, contact a celebrity to crash their party (fingers crossed), or be born to famous parents.Has your Sim ever dreamed of being an influencer? Well, now he can be, as he'll see when other Sims start dressing like him. Or maybe he prefers to cater to his audience? Your Sim can leave it all behind and go star on Starlight Boulevard, much to the delight of passersby. And don't worry about clingy fans. Your bodyguards can handle them. When your Sim unlocks the Squad perk, he or she can go out with a group of mag-ni-faithful Sims to make even more impressions. Sims can't become celebrities without hanging out with other celebrities.
But beware Fame has a price, and we're not talking about simflouz here. Fans can sometimes get out of hand and behave VERY strangely. And let's not even talk about the paparazzi. Is five minutes of peace too much to ask? Unless you're wearing a disguise, it would seem so.
