Sims 4 Expansion packs
The Sims 4 offers several types of additional content, known as DLC. Extensions are the most extensive and offer the most content. From new gameplay features to new objects and outfits, there's something for everyone, and since the release of The Sims 4, a dozen or so expansions have been released, covering just as many themes. Let's take a look at the games released to date!
The Sims 4 Get to Work
The first Sims 4 expansion was released in 2015. It introduced three playable careers: investigator, scientist and doctor. In these three professions, you can follow your characters around their workplace and help them progress in their daily tasks. The expansion also brings with it the management of shops that your Sims can run and where they can sell items or clothing.
The Sims 4 Get Together
The second expansion for The Sims 4 is one of the most expansive in terms of theme. It's all about groups of Sims you can join or create. In a group, Sims like to do things together. For example, your Sims can form teams to play sports together. New activities such as dancing and DJing have also been added, and can be enjoyed in the world of Windenburg, a small European-themed town.
The Sims 4 City Living
Your Sims discover the joys of city life in this third additional disc. San Myshuno is a large metropolis where your Sims can live in apartments. The expansion also unlocks several new semi-playable careers: Criticism, Politics and Social Networking, where certain missions can be done with your Sim to progress faster.
The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs
Animals are back in The Sims 4. In the game's fourth opus, only dogs and cats make a comeback at first. Your Sims can adopt and live with pets, but they can also care for them via the new playable career of veterinarian.
The Sims 4 Seasons
The four seasons and the weather make their return to The Sims 4 in 2018. A fairly classic expansion with seasonal activities and the arrival of a calendar where your Sims can indicate their upcoming social events.
The Sims 4 Get Famous
Movie studios and Hollywood stars make their appearance in the game. The new fully playable career takes your Sims through auditions and shoots.
The Sims 4 Island Living
Your Sims take to the heat of the tropics to swim in the Sulani lagoon. Mermaids are the game's newest creature, taking you to discover the depths of the ocean. This expansion also comes with an ecological approach, offering you the chance to clean up the beaches of this new world.
The Sims 4 Discover University
University studies are back in The Sims 4. At the Britechester campus, your Sims can take a variety of courses and graduate. This diploma then enables them to perform better in their jobs and earn a higher salary. At the same time, your Sims can become members of secret societies or discover the new city by bike.
The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle
A brand-new expansion for The Sims franchise. In this ninth expansion, you can play with pollution, clean up the quality of life in entire neighborhoods and power your land with renewable energy. Your Sims also get to meet their neighbors with neighborhood action plans that let them vote on challenges that apply to everyone for a few days.
The Sims 4 Snowy Escape
Another completely new expansion, this is the first time you can send your Sims out to enjoy winter sports. Whether sledging, skiing, skateboarding or rock-climbing, there are plenty of activities to choose from at the Mont Komorebi ski resort. A world you can explore with several Sims and discover hidden spots on the peaks.
The Sims 4 Country Life
If dogs and cats aren't enough for you, you can bring farm animals into your Sims' home. Cows, llamas, poultry and rabbits, you can play with these new animals, raise them and collect wool, milk or eggs that you can sell on the Henford-on-Bagley market.
The Sims 4 High School Years
In addition to studying at university, you can now follow your Sims to high school. Attending classes, joining in extracurricular activities and taking part in the prom are just some of the new features coming with this expansion. The new town of Copperdale even has a small funfair where you can send your Sims and their new friends!
The Sims 4 Growing Up Together
An additional disc reminiscent of its distant cousin, The Sims 3 Generations. This expansion unlocks numerous generations for all age groups. In fact, it accompanies the arrival of newborn babies!
The Sims 4 Horse Ranch
Another foray into the countryside, this time in the vast fields of the American West. Based on a Western theme, this new DLC lets you raise horses and ride with them along the great trails of Chestnut Ridge. Your Sim will have to look after his horses, mini goats or mini sheep, feed them and eventually train them to take part in show jumping competitions.
The Sims 4 For Rent
This pack brings you back to the city, with the joys of living with other Sims in residences you can rent. The gameplay is punctuated by challenges such as particularly annoying neighbors, tenant breakdowns and mold infestations.
The Sims 4 Amour Fou
The Sims 4 Amour Fou is an expansion dedicated to romantic rendezvous and relationships. It expands the dating experience in the same way as The Sims 4 Marriage pack, and adds new preferences and love-killers.
