Send your Sims to university and start a new chapter at the historic University of Britechester or the more modern Foxbury Institute in The Sims 4 At College.

All Sims from young adulthood onwards can attend university, but enrollment starts in their teens (a few days before they become adults). To register, nothing could be easier, just click on your computer or on the mailbox to send your application. 

The admission letter will arrive in your mailbox a few days later. It will tell you which university and degree you are eligible for. If your skills are strong enough in the specialty you want to go into, so-called prestigious degrees will be available. These degrees allow for better bonuses once you graduate and enter the working world.

A little reminder about the specialties offered.

Normal" diplomas

• University of Britechester biology, computer science, economics, physics, psychology and infamy
• Foxbury Institute Art history, culinary arts, drama, fine arts, history, language and literature, and communications.

Prestigious" diplomas

• University of Britechester Art history, culinary arts, drama, fine arts, history, language and literature, and communications.
• Foxbury Institute biology, computer science, economics, physics, psychology and infamy

Those with good eyes will have noticed that you can do any degree in both universities, only their level is different, a normal degree in one is prestigious in the other.

Once you've been accepted, it's time to register! Go back to your computer and follow the guide. First choose the university you'd like to attend (note that you can go back at any time if you change your mind, the same applies in the middle and at the end of each semester). 

Then select your course of study according to where you are admitted. You can see the details and benefits on the right-hand side of the window. The advantages correspond to the benefits of this Sims 4 diploma on your future life. For example, a degree in Computer Science will take you into the Programming career at a higher level right from the start.

In the same window, you can decide on the number of courses per semester. This is where you need to think about what you want. A semester (or simester as it's called in the game, but this spelling hurts my eyes a bit, so let's stick to our own term) lasts a week. You can take up to 4 courses per semester and pass 12 to get your year. The number of courses you take per semester determines how long you'll stay in college.

Next decision, where will you stay during your semester? Yes the decision must be made every week. This is the big difference from previous Sims since you can choose to stay in your current home with mom and dad, move to another city (with or without parents), or live in one of Foxbury or Britechester (only the accommodations of the college where you are going will be offered).

After you've made all your choices, it's time to check out. You have your little bill summarizing the costs per course and you can decide to pay with your household funds or take out a loan to be paid back later (or risk a visit from the bailiff, the other new feature of the extension).

You are now registered and settled. It is now time to study, you will see that it will go very fast! Everything you need to know is indicated in the usual work tab where you will find the list of courses for the semester and what you have to do to validate them.

To get a good grade, you must complete the homework for each subject (the homework book should be in your inventory, if you can't find it like me, you can buy some from the library) and do a final assignment. Either an exam that will take place in the last class of the semester and whose grade will depend on your work and regular studies. Either an essay that you can write or plagiarize from a computer. Or an oral presentation that you will have to do with the ancestor of the powerpoint: a board with sheets. 

In the same panel, you can see the grade you obtained in the previous semesters and the number of days left to complete.

In order to get better grades, in addition to your regular work, you can do research from a computer, read textbooks on your specialty, or talk to your teachers by email or by visiting them in their offices.

If you have finished all your assignments and have done well, after a week you will receive a short message from the college with your various grades. If all goes well for you, you can then register for the next semester. Note that you may not re-register right away if you prefer to take a few days off.

If your roommates have been getting on your nerves a bit during this week, you have the option of changing residences and even degrees.

Your Sim is a little short at the end of the month and doesn't feel like going out to work to pay for his studies? He can apply for scholarships from a computer to receive a few simflouzs on a regular basis.

Scholarships are awarded according to several criteria:

• Prestige If you are accepted into a prestigious degree, you will automatically receive a scholarship. The more different degrees you are admitted to (therefore the more skills you master) the larger the amount.
• Solidarity Sims with little money in their account can apply for this scholarship.
• Competence Young adults who have already developed a number of practical skills can apply for this scholarship.
• Career: Already working? Teens and young adults who have already started working can apply for assistance.
• Sport and e-sport Extracurricular activities can unlock additional simflouzs.
• Resident's exchange The cities where your sims live can set up a system to help their students. The amount depends on the city of residence.

The list of scholarships for which your sims are eligible are available from the computer or via the phone.

It's well known that students don't spend their days studying, well not most of the time. Several extracurricular activities have arrived to keep your Sims busy between two dissertations.

Club events first. Clubs are a complement to the groups that arrived with the Vivre Ensemble extension, but with an educational purpose. To find out what's coming up at your college, go to the Club tab and open Upcoming Events. This window shows you where and when to be to practice robotics, revise, debate, etc. These activities are carried out by groups, such as the Robot Pros, which you can choose to join.

When you join, you will receive an outfit and some specific accessories and you will be invited to more events. For example, by joining the debate club, you will be able to participate in a Saturday contest in the UdB plaza with other members.

You can advance in these clubs by completing assignments and participating in training and events.

Another famous activity on the other side of the Atlantic, perhaps slightly less so here, is university sports. Each university has its own sports and e-sports team. A notification will appear on Friday and Saturday nights during the games so that you can attend and support your team at the local stadium. On game days, the mascots of both teams will parade through the streets and you can expect a few fights... More happily, students will wear their team colors proudly and you can hang extra garlands to support yours.

Of course, you can also join your school's team instead of just being a spectator. To do this, click on the stadium and choose to join the team. This will open the career selection menu where "Football player" and "E-sport player" have been added. Training takes place on weekday evenings, giving you the opportunity to work on your courses at the same time.

Like all other careers, different tasks will make you progress through the levels. Let's take soccer as an example, where you have to juggle the ball.

Whether your Sim is a student or not, he or she has the opportunity to attend lecture classes to improve skills or expand their horizons. Usually scheduled between 2pm and 7pm, your Sim can reserve a seat with their phone or by clicking on a classroom. All skills can be taught and your Sim can even teach a few classes if he is good enough.

There are three models available directly in the Purchase Mode or in the stores on campus. They are simply placed on the ground and once your sim has appropriated it, he will put it in his inventory.

Bikes allow you to ride just about anywhere a Sim would walk (including indoors...). They don't ride down or up stairs, but allow your Sims to take a ride around the neighborhood. Your character will then ride on the road and sidewalks in search of the beautiful scenery (a scent of cars to come? It certainly won't take much more than that to get the speculation going again).

You probably know them, they've been arriving in every University expansion for several releases now and are the symbols of student activities in The Sims, the ping-pong table and the juice fountains are back.

Avec l’arrivée des dortoirs et autres résidences universitaires, il a fallu le remplir ce Mode Achat ! Le remplir avec des objets modernes pour l’Institut Foxbury et plus ancien pour Britechester. Voici une petite sélection des nouveautés de cette extension à travers les pièces prédéfinies offertes par le jeu. De quoi avoir un bon aperçu de l’ambiance de ce pack.

Enfin, on notera l’arrivée des douches sans vitres et des toilettes compartimentées, idéales pour les dortoirs.

L’extension Les Sims 4 À la Fac, comme les précédentes, apporte de nombreuses nouveautés en terme de tenues, coiffures et autres accessoires. Voici ce quelques suggestions de présentation comme on dit !

Une ville de Britechester très agréable à visiter, des tenues seulement pour (jeunes) adultes et des cours intéressants principalement grâce aux devoirs à la maison. Les nouveaux vélos sont sympas.
