EA has also announced the forthcoming release of a dedicated cell phone application. Created for the current generation of Smartphones, The Sims Social app will enable players to keep track of their Sims wherever they are, and thus take care of their wants and needs even when they're away from their computer.

The Sims Social is the culmination of a close collaboration between the talented teams at The Sims Studios and Playfish. It took over 10 years of work on the franchise to succeed in combining an ultra-popular and exciting gaming experience with a cutting-edge knowledge of social networking games.
