These mods give you access to creative ways to end the lives of your Sims when they displease the "Watcher", and as this Watcher loves the Halloween season more than Christmas, I went in search of something more "Halloweenesque" to add to my game and found the one and only Jason Voorhees in Life Tragedies. It was a lot of fun to watch him slice his way through the Sims 4 population. But first, who is Jason Voorhees?
"Friday the 13th" is an American horror franchise that includes twelve films, a television series, novels, comic books, video games and merchandise. The franchise focuses primarily on the fictional character Jason Voorhees, who is believed to have drowned as a child at Camp Crystal Lake due to the negligence of the camp staff. Decades later, the lake is rumored to be "cursed" and is the setting for a series of mass murders. Jason is featured in all of the films, either as the killer or as the motivation for the murders."

Now that we've got that out of the way, let's take a look at the mod. Before you activate it, it's best to familiarize yourself with everything it adds to your game so you can disable anything you don't like. These tragedies happen on their own unless you disable this feature, so be careful.

Je trouve les brutes, les voleurs à main armée et les tueurs en série très ennuyeux dans mon jeu au quotidien du coup je les désactive immédiatement mais ils sont excellents pour raconter des histoires. Vous pouvez les essayer dans une de vos sauvegardes secondaire.
I decided that the best way to kick off the horror season would be to kill a bunch of teenagers in a remote campsite. My cast included all the stereotypes of horror movies. The hot blonde and her jock boyfriend, the nerdy girl, the hippie, the street girl, the preppy guy, and the slightly weird but hot freshman from another school.
Once the bags were packed, these seven teens left for Camp Gem Lake as counselors for the young scouts who would be spending the summer there.
Little do they know that the camp is cursed and that a mad man wearing a mask is sharpening his machete in advance. Who do you bet on to survive this killer? To begin, disable all other tragedies except the serial killers. When everyone is in place, click on "serial killers", "no mercy" and select "Jason Voorhees". If you don't, the game will create random serial killers like the nanny. Similarly, if you don't select the "no mercy" option, Jason will tend to kill an NPC or two and then wander off for a bit before disappearing. You can't make a horror movie with just two dead bodies, can you?
Once you select Jason, the mod will make him appear at the edge of Granite Falls or the neighborhood you are camping in. I have to admit that I would have liked Jason and only Jason to appear when you arrive at Granite Falls, but... even though I'm not a modder myself, I imagine that would be difficult to do. Jason's look is perfect and the fog around him makes your Sims look like they are in a horror movie. Even the "ch ch ch, ah ah ah" sound has been added to this mod and can be heard when Jason kills a Sim. Spine-chilling stuff...
But Jason is not only a mindless killer, he also likes to barbecue and look at the stars. I had to have him show up several times to kill the counselors because he had so much else to do. Honestly, if he had taken the time to go fishing, I could have died laughing. He took a lot of naps but killing is hard work so I understand.
There's a bug you need to watch out for. Once Jason starts his killing spree and the Reaper shows up to collect souls, the Reaper gets stuck because there are too many bodies (I guess). The other little problem that happens is that Jason has such a big ego, he's not even afraid of the Reaper and will try to kill her... Since she's death itself, she doesn't die and stays there. This means you can't save your game or get out of the field... The best thing to do is activate cheats, click on the Reaper and corpses and select reset item. This should solve the problem without any damage to the savegame. Life Tragedies is an excellent mod without going too far. Jason Voorhees is a classic Halloween character, and I can't wait to see the stories that emerge after he makes his way into your game.
