We told you about it in this week's news, the new update released on Tuesday brings several new features to the Create A Sim mode. Here is how it works...
The story mode, that's what the new major feature of CAS is called. If it seems quite innocent at first, I must say that once I tried it, I found it very nice. I'm still surprised by it! This story mode replaces the step, a bit boring for some, of choosing the personality of our characters but it doesn't stop there, you'll understand.
When opening the Create A Sim (only works when creating a new home to my knowledge), a little bubble will ask you if you want to use the Story Mode to create your character or not. Note that nothing prevents you from creating one Sim in normal mode and the other one in Story Mode, the choice is offered to you when you click on "Add a Sim".
Once launched, you will be asked a series of questions. These questions, as crazy as they may be, will allow you to define your Sim's aspiration and character traits. You will see the locations of the traits validate themselves as you go along on the left of your screen.
But that's not all! This story mode would be misleading if it stopped there. Among the questions you will be asked, some will determine your Sim's career, skills and living standards. These three elements will of course be kept when your character moves in and you could find yourself like me during my test directly at level 2 of the Secret Agent career with some useful skill points. And it is this point that revolutionizes the creation of Sim. It is worth noting that the story mode is currently only available from the Young Adult age group, the age being the first question asked.
While we're in the Create A Sim, let's take a quick look at some new features? The CAS sees the arrival of a new hairstyle for simettes and unlocks several items included in extensions for all players.
