The Sims 4 Kids Room test

Today I'm back to test the brand new Sims 4: Kids Room item kit. It's true that we were lacking content for our children, and this kit can only offer us good content. So let's go and discover all the new features of this DLC...

The Create A Sim

Let's go to the CAS to start and discover all the new outfits. They are often mixed: girls and boys can wear them (without activating the filter of the maj on transgender). You will have a lot of clothes and hairstyles. 4 full outfits, 3 bottoms (including a skirt), 18 tops and 4 hairstyles.

Buy mode

To continue, we go to the purchase mode which is very well supplied with a total of 41 new items! Posters of the kit's creatures (we'll come back to this later), paintings, a bed, bookcases, decorations, furniture, etc..., are available, and will allow you to furnish and give a personality to the rooms of your little protégés.

Now we move on to the gameplay of this kit. There are quite a few new elements that will change the activities of your children. For starters, we have a new TV channel with anime and a new radio station with four new songs.

Creatures of the void

The creatures of the void are the central elements of this kit: they are in fact species of Pokémon. You will be able to collect cards of these creatures to play them with your children with the Battle Station which is one of the two new gameplay objects of the kit. These cards can be purchased via the computer in sets of 5 or individually. They cost 25 simflouzs per pack (125 for the set of 5). Then you can collect these cards: there are 20 in all. They appear in the menu of your family's collections.

The second item is the puppet theater that allows your children to perform small shows, and to advance their social skills. There are a total of 5 pieces to unlock.

Please note that these two objects can only be used for children.

My opinion

One of the best kits we have had with the fourth generation for my part. This kit brings a breath of fresh air for kids that have been lacking content. We have plenty to do with this DLC. The new playable content is interesting to change the daily life of our young Sims, with new activities related to the two gameplay objects (the puppets and the trading cards) but also with the decorations that will change from our classic hanging posters.
I can only recommend this game which is really worth the 10€.
