Between the latest trailer released this week and the SimGurus' presentation on Friday, we know a lot about the next expansion for The Sims 4: Snowy Getaway.
Mount Komorebi
- 14 new fields
- Wish trees/prayers in the streets
- Presence of several caves, especially at the top of the mountain
- Small insects may fall from trees
- Possibility to practice climbing and hiking (there are several information boards in the world)
- A Zen zone can relax sims
- Sims can swim in rivers and different water areas
- Festivals are held from time to time: the Festival of Lights, the Snow Festival and the Children's Festival.
- The weather will influence the conditions for winter sports
Winter activities
- Snowboard
- Slalom
- Sled
- Ski
- Possible excursion to the top of Mount Komorebi. Excursions are social events and you will be able to follow your sims climbing the peaks. They work a bit like excursions in the jungle.
- Possibility to rent or buy the material.
Gameplay
- Possibility to force Sims to remove their shoes before entering their home.
- Creation of platforms inside
- Children can wear a uniform to school in Mount Komorebi
- Sims can eat with chopsticks
- New deaths
- New types of crackers
- The sims information window has been revised and is accessible from the relations panel (via an update for all)
Lifestyles
- "Lifestyles are an expression of your sim's behavior and habits over time"
- Styles shown in the trailer: Sedentary, energetic, tactile, comfortable indoors, comfortable outdoors, fast food lover, health food lover
- Other lifestyles are hidden
Feelings
- Another new feature is that the feelings echo the memories of your Sims. If your Sims do an activity that made them happy, they may miss it after a while. Conversely, running into an enemy may influence your Sims' emotions.
Create a Sim
- Two aspirations: one for extreme sports and one for visiting Mount Komorebi.
