They arrived a little discreetly with an update to the game, and are often forgotten, but Vegeims are very much present in The Sims 4. They arrived with one of Jasmine Holiday's challenges, which came more or less regularly in your game to offer you a few rewards. Today, Jasmine no longer visits us, but it's still possible to play with vegesims, so let's find out how.
Turning a Sims 4 into a Vegemite
There are two methods to transform a Sims. The first one is simple and efficient, you just have to activate the cheat code testingcheats onPress Shift and your Sim and select the Transform into Plantsim interaction. It couldn't be easier.
The "official" method to become a Plantsim still exists. You have to start by adding a "Magic Plantsim Strain" available in the Purchase mode of the Outdoor Activities section. Then activate the cheat code bb.showhiddenobjects then look for the magic peas in the various decorations in the purchase mode. These peas are all to be placed on the stump.
The stump is now ready. All you have to do is send a Sim to water it and a big tree will grow!
By clicking on the tree, an interaction to explore the inside of the stump appears. Your Sim will then make his little visit before coming out with a plant: the Forbidden Fruit of the Plantsim. It is by eating this fruit that the Sim will be transformed!
The life of a Plantsim
Plantsims needs are a kind of mix between mermaids and normal Sims. Smaller needs are replaced by a need for water, which can be quickly satisfied with a drink or a dip in the pool. Hunger is replaced by photosynthesis: stay in the sun to fill up the gauge and your Sim will be delighted.
Apart from these small changes, this green complexion and these leaves that grow on your arms, there seems to be no other difference with the other Sims.
Become a normal Sims again
Plantsim automatically become normal again after 5 days. This makes vegemim special because they are temporary creatures. If you are really in a hurry to lose your green color, you should know that eating the cake of the cow plant forces you to become a normal Sim again. With the risk of losing your skin too...
